Kununurra (4,500 pop) is situated on the Ord River in the Shire of Wyndham/East Kimberley. The main industries are agriculture, tourism and the diamond mines. A new sugar mill has been built and is refining locally grown cane.

The parish includes the areas of Wyndham and Oombulgurri/Forrest River Mission and a number of large cattle stations in the remote Kimberley. Services are held weekly at Kununurra, fortnightly second and fourth Sundays at Wyndham and monthly third Sunday in Oombulgurri. The church is also used by the Uniting Church for worship and the hall and playground areas are used by a community playgroup each week. An average of 35 people make up the small congregation.

The Johnsons & Watsons minister to the Kununurra community.
