Wickham is 40 km's to the north of Karratha and its construction was started in 1970 by the Cliff's Robe River Iron Associates. The parish is situated on the Pilbara coast in the heart of WA's vast resources industry. It consists of the Robe River Iron towns of Wickham (Port), Pannawonica (Mine 200 km inland), Point Samson (fishing), and historic Roebourne (rural) which has a large proportion of Aboriginal People - a total population of 3,500. The area features the restored pearling port of Cossack, which attracts many visitors during mid year.

There are two small congregations, named Wickham and Pannawonica Family Church respectively, accommodating people from a variety of denominational backgrounds. Members are fresh in their faith, adventurous and keen to grow. A weekly service is held at Wickham in the Community Hall; once a month at Pannawonica in a Roman Catholic Church and on particular occasions at the 100 year old Holy Trinity Church in Roebourne. In addition there is regular sharing in worship and community outreach with the Aboriginal and Catholic Churches.
