Bluff Point is in the city of Geraldton
Geraldton is 430kms north of Perth. It is situated in the mid-west of North-West Australia. It serves the export shipping of iron ore, mineral sands, wheat, canola oil and lupins, with fishing as a primary industry. The population of Geraldton and the Greenough shire which surrounds the city is 33,000 and growing and comprises people of various cultural backgrounds. We sit at the south western corner of the Diocese of North Western Australia, the largest land diocese in the world. The city of Geraldton is on the verge of substantial growth with the port of Oakajee about to be constructed.
Our Aim
Our church has been in Bluff Point since 1935. Our vision is to make Christ the centre of our lives. We want to tell others about Jesus Christ and the Good News of His salvation. Most people are lost and cut off from God. But we want everyone to know Christ’s love and forgiveness for themselves and join His people, the church.
Our Beliefs
The Bible is central to all we do as a church. Every Sunday we turn to the Scriptures to hear how God wants us to live in our daily lives.
Our Church
All kinds of people come to St George’s - seniors and young families, teenagers, single parents and people living on their own. We also represent many different backgrounds and interests. Some of our members have been Christians for a long time and some are still exploring the Christian faith. We love having families and children in our church services.
Feel free to join us on Sunday mornings at 7.30am or 9.30am or 6pm (in school term) or contact us at any time on 9923-1206. We’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.
Sunday Church
We use the Prayer Book Communion service at 7.30am and Family church with Sunday school at 9.30am.
6pm Church (in school terms)
If you miss Sunday morning church due to family, sport or other reasons, why not come along at 6pm? It's encouraging, upbeat, short, informal, and there is food of the spiritual and physical variety. Most people bring a plate of food to share for tea; sandwiches, snacks, finger food, fruit, dip, etc. It's really nice having tea after church. (Note that 6pm church does not meet during school holidays.)
Other Groups
We also run Weekly Home Group Bible studies, a Youth Group and other ministry services. Find out more by ringing the Senior Minister on (08) 9923-1206.
